Operation Hood educates the community on the importance of spaying/neutering companion animals, trap-neuter-return (TNR), and how to prevent animal cruelty and abandonment. This page is intended to introduce children/young people to cats, as well as educate them (and their parents) on caring for cats, to include those living outdoors, (also known as community cats). Encouraging our young adults to nurture and care for animals makes the world a better place for all!
Operation Hood is looking to get children/young people involved within their community. Let their voices be heard and help them make a stand to make the world a better place! Check out the #GivingTuesdayKids section below for ideas on how they can give back through volunteering or helping someone in need. They are our future and we need to foster the gift of giving and watch it grow! Get involved and check out! No act of kindness is to small! Let your light shine!

#GivingTuesdayKids is led by 12-year-old Khloe Thompson and a team of youth leaders who are encouraging young people to take action around the causes they care about most. At its core, GivingTuesday was created to facilitate our deep-seated desire to help each other. We believe that generosity has the power to unite and heal communities in good times and bad.
