There are many low-cost spay and neuter clinics in our area.  If you have a pet that has not been spayed/neutered, please contact one of the following clinics and schedule an appointment.

The Fred SPCA Locke Community Medical Center provides access to care for owned pets, and rescues/shelters. Money raised goes back into funding Fred SPCA programs. We offer preventatives, dentals, and spay/neuter surgeries. Vaccines, microchips, and bloodwork can be added to surgical appointments. We are not currently offering sick/wellness appointments. Provides low-cost (and in hardship cases free) spay/neuter surgeries for qualified rescue groups and individuals they sponsor. They deal primarily with cats as their facility is small and there are far more stray cats and feral cats than dogs, although dogs from shelters and rescues can be accommodated. Since its beginning, PETS Ltd. has performed more than 13,000 surgeries, preventing the birth of over 50,000 unwanted animals.

A program of the SPCA of Northern Virginia. It provides discounted spay and neuter referrals for dogs and cats in Northern Virginia. They are not a veterinary clinic, but offer discounted spay/neuter surgeries through a network of participating animal hospitals.

​Feral Cat Focus of WNY and ​Alley Cat Allies are two great resources for people are caring for feral or stray cats.  We encourage everyone to visit these two websites prior to taking on the care and feeding of homeless cats.

​Insulated Cat Shelters


Here is a great video on how to build a winter shelter for animals who live outside. Thanks to the Toronto Feral Cat Coalition for this educational video.

At the fence we use Ecoflex houses! We insulate them with reflectix (can be purchased on Amazon).
